Total Body Workout!

If anyone is looking for a TOTAL BODY WORKOUT at home....I found the perfect solution:
http://www.thane.com/products/fitness/orbitrekelite/orbitrek.php
It is the Orbitrek Elite Elliptical Machine. OMG what a workout! I am trying it for the 6 weeks to make sure I'll like it. I've used it 3 times now and can BARELY do 10 minutes on the lowest intensity setting without my legs just turning to jelly!
Todays stats:
Time 10:06
Distance 1.73 Miles
It's non impact so it doesn't hurt your joints if you are sensitive like me (I have arthritis) so it hurts to do running, treadmills etc....this is fairly easy on my joints...allbeit they are out of shape.
Only disadvantage...it has a weight limit of 275#

Another Exercise thing I'm doing is the Leslie Sansone Walk At Home DVD's, I have a bunch of them and have a couple that I've tried so far and I really like them. I always feel like an idiot walking outside so this is the perfect option for me!
www.walkathome.com

I am still in shock right now as I just finished my monthly visit from Aunt Flo....and I didn't gain 100# LOL! NORMALLY for me I gain AT LEAST 5# so this is quite the shocker! I discovered a new supplement from Watkins called Female Formula and I don't know if it's a fluke or what but I plan on continuing the supplement at least until next month to see if I gain next month. If not I think I'm in love :) It is always such a PAIN to get rid of the water weight following the visit. If you want to try it out, just post a comment or send me an e-mail and I'll get you the link for it,

If my body were a car

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull .... But that's not the worst of it.My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather. My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter..... Either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires

I have snails in my fish tank! ARGH!!!!!

HJust have to whine! I HATE snails! I bought some 'live' plants for my aquarium about 6 months ago and ever since then I have been battling snails, I have cloroxed the tank twice, (of course removing the fish), replaced EVERYTHING except the filter holder part once, and have just about had all I can handle. The tank sat empty from last thursday to today, and just put water in it and oila snails! HOW do they live? GRRRRRRRRRRR! Anyways I'm trying some "Had a Snail" stuff but with my luck they will live through that too.

New Stuff!

Today was like Christmas in...July...er I mean August! I got about 6 Walk at Home DVD's and about 6 Weight Watchers cookbooks. I have been wanting them for a while, and really need variety and only had 1 weight watchers cookbook so I ordered them. I can't wait to try them!

Weigh In Aug 18th

Starting Weight: 250#
Last Week: 229.8#
Today's Weight: 229.8#
This Weeks Gain or Loss: Same
Total Loss: 20.2

I think I've hit a plateau. I need to be better about watching what I eat. I am recording everything I eat for a challenge I'm doing and I think that will help as I will be able to see where I got on the wrong track in the day.

The Tracking Begins....

Today is the first day of the challenge where I will be tracking everything I eat. I am also going to track my water as well as Soda. I have had soda addictions in the past where there were days I could easily clear a 12 pack! So I've been gradually cutting back.

Breakfast:
Cinnamon Raisin Bagel w/WW Cream Cheese 4pts
Lunch:
Green Salad w/Tuna Fish, Feta Cheese, Cucumbers, Olives, Tomatoes & Carrots, cashews & pistacchios, Light Ranch Dressing 10.5 pts
Dinner: Feta Dijon Chicken Breast, Mixed Vegetables, Rice-a-Roni Chicken Flavor 10pts
Snacks: WW Cheddar Cheese Squares, 100 Calorie Pack Popcorn, Crystal Light Rasberry Lemonade Drink Mix, Sour Patch Kids, Mini Popcorn Caks 100 Calorie Pack, 1 Small V8 8.5 pts
Exercise: 1 Hour + Cleaning & Packing, Walk At Home DVD 45 Minutes 6pts

Water: Got it all in!

Soda: 3 Diet Sunkist Orange, 1 Coke Zero

Total Points today: 33.5pts
Exercise Points Swapped: 3.5pts
Weekly Points Remaining: 35

I figured out my MAIN problem as to why I'm at a plateau....when I get home from work I am just STARVING and munch, munch, munch, munch....you get the idea! YIKES! I guess what I need to do is find 0 Point snacks so I can munch without going point crazy. BUT I also just need to learn to control my hunger. Things will get better once we are finished with our old house as I have been stopping there almost every day after work to work on packing up, cleaning, yardwork etc. We are out completely on the 22nd so that means this time next week I will be able to drive STRAIGHT home. WAHOO! I'm excited. This is gonna give me more 'me' time as well. YEAH!

Oh I don't think I mentioned I ordered an Exercise bike/machine. It should be here on Tuesday. I can't wait!

Less is More Challenge

Over on Choosing2Lose I am participating in a challenge right now for the month of August. It's called "Less is More" we have to post daily what we are doing for exercise, our personal challenge, and then just a general post. Well my challenge up to this point has been drinking 64oz of water. Some days it's been tough, others I can do that 3x over. So halfway we get the option of changing our challenge. I have switched mine to "Tracking EVERYthing you eat" as I have a REAL hard time with this. We shall see how it goes. Wish me luck!
I have a few blogs that I frequent each day, and seeing as how today was weighin day for a challenge I'm doing I found this post amusing on "Gotta Lose 200#"
http://gottalose200pounds.blogspot.com/2008/08/tomorrow-tomorrow-i-hate-ya-tomorrow.html

I SO needed this today, it was a mega stressful day and I haven't been losing a ton of weight this week, although I guess I should be thankful I didn't gain :). It just gets discouraging sometimes. I'm sure once things settle down from the move I will feel more relaxed and be able to stick to the diet better, and get home at a decent hour so I can exercise.

I hate my feet!

I was blessed enough to inherit my father's dry skin so I have HORRIBLY dry feet that crack and bleed often irregardless of what I do for them, and I have Keratosis Pyelori (chicken bump skin) irregardless of how often or what lotion or scrub I use. Although am trying a new lotion that's supposed to be a miracle cure....we'll see. Anyways my post is focused on my feet, as I have had a HUGE crack at least 1/8" deep in between my big toe and the next toe in for the past few days, it's getting worse and hurts like a MOTHER! It makes exercising nearly impossible, although I am doing a challenge over on Choosing 2 Lose and part of that challenge is 30 minutes of exercise each day, so far I've done great on this challenge but if something doesn't change with my feet....not so sure how much more I can handle. So today I visited Walmart and basically bought a little of EVERYTHING in their foot section...LITERALLY!

Among some of the things I am giving a try are (all items were purchased at Walmart in both the First Aid section and the Nail Care/Makeup section..although I found 'better' buy's in the foot stuff by the nail care):
Soft Heel Gel Sleeves & Soft-Soles Gel Slips
http://www.earththerapeutics.net/prodinfo.asp?number=75502
Am also trying their:
1- Foot Repair Therapeutic Balm
2- Intesnive Heel Repair
3- Refreshing Foot Scrub
4- Tea Tree Oil Spray

Hot Glitters

Weight Watchers Points

Hi5, Xanga, Tagged, Blogger Comments @ 123glitter.com

So I've hit a milestone, I am now down to 30 allotted points per day. Which should be good, as I have a hard time eating all my points some days. Depending on the day.

HAPPINESS IS A BYPRODUCT OF ACTIVITY

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement,
the thrill of creative effort.
The human spirit needs to accomplish,
to achieve, to triumph to be happy.

Happiness does not come from doing easy work.
It comes from the afterglow of satisfaction after
the achievement of a difficult task that demands
your best.

Your personal growth itself contains the seed of happiness.
You cannot pursue happiness by itself.

There is no happiness except in the realization that you
have accomplished something.

Happiness thrives in activity.
It's a running river, not a stagnant pond.

Fat People Clothes

So I went to walmart last night, and was in need of some pajamas/lounge clothes. First off they have NO selection for 'fat' people over size about 16 GRRRR! Then I think I hit the jackpot with some adorable Mickey Mouse pants that were size 2x, which is what I wear for my scrubs and they are starting to get a tiny bit lose. NOPE these are a little too tight. The biggest shirt size they had was XL and I can usually reasonably fit one of those...it too is too tight...so my question is this are they barbie clothes and I am just in the toy section? GRRR!
I had pictures posted, then hubby said they made me look 10x the size I actually am so I'm keeping just 1 of the lounge pants pictures posted. Then maybe when they fit me better I'll post em again!

I figured it was time for some pictures. Keep in mind that these are my exercise clothes.

Not sure if I can tell a difference yet or not
:
On a more positive note: Have to tell you a 'funny' my hubby said I was working on putting some boxes away and he was sitting on the couch so he asks me "How much have you lost?" I tell him well I just weighed in at 228.8# this am so about 21#" He says "Well I don't want to tell you this cause you'll get mad at me....but...I think you lost it all from your butt!" LOL! I was LMAO, he was worried I'd think he was telling me I had a big fat butt (which I am VERY well aware of) as most of my excess weight is in my butt and thighs....SERIOUSLY. But it makes me feel good to know that it's starting to show cause my work pants sure don't feel like it! .

Today we are going to get our HD satellite installed, we were supposed to get our 'better' internet installed today as well from Comcast but the morons instead of letting us know that they couldn't 'move' our account if we owed a balance at all (just the months bill) CANCELED OUR ACCOUNT and the service appt for today! My hubby was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo peeved, he called and because they canceled it they have NO record that we ever HAD internet with them DUH! So today after the satellite guy leaves we are going to exchange modems so we can 'prove' we had internet. We won't get our phone installed till the 20th but my hubby can handle installing the internet. Which he wants back desperately as he has it set up to access our 'movies' from his work so he can do something during down time, and the 'free' internet that comes with the HOA here has everything behind a firewall so you can't access our server from the outside world....

I've decided I'm going to change my 'goal' weight. I found a neat website: http://www.healthcentral.com/diet-exercise/ideal-body-weight-3146-143.html
That helps you calculate based on 'frame' size.

Calculate Your Ideal Body Weight

For years, people looked up their weight on tables drawn from insurance company statistics. While those are still around, this is a newer, more accurate way to calculate what is truly a healthy weight range for you.

Ideal weight range is 136 - 149.6 lbs. (61.8 - 68 kg.).
You are overweight by 79.4 lbs. (36 kg.).
You may wish to consult with your physician for medical help.

How is Ideal Weight Determined?

Your ideal weight range-- 136 - 149.6 lbs. (61.8 - 68 kg.). --is based on a formula that calculates what a healthy weight is for most people of your height (65 inches) and frame size (Medium).

So I've decided that I will try and get down to the 'high' weight. My lowest weight before was about 170# and I still had some extra 'flab' so this is probably more accurate.

I have finally found a candle/scent company I feel proud to represent. Scentsy's products are amazing! Very strongly scented and wonderful scents to boot. I love their scent warmers that use lightbulbs instead of flames. Please feel free to visit my website: http://www.scentsy.com/cprcheetah

Ugh....I think I have Salmonella from the Greek Salad & Chicken Salad Wraps I had from Costco on Saturday. I feel very icky, am really sick and drained energy wise.

Weigh In Aug 3, 2008

Starting Weight: 250#
Last Week: 233.8#
Today's Weight: 229.8#
This Weeks Gain or Loss: Loss 4#
Total Loss: 20.2

Pretty good week! Especially considering we ate out a couple of times, AND I went to 2 movies and ate movie theater popcorn both times!

August 2, 2008

So today was a very hard day. I didn't drink much water until after work, normally I have at least 1/2 of it drank by then. I stopped at Costco and picked up a greek pasta salad and some of their chicken salad wraps for 'dinner', then made a quick stop at Lowes for some lawn stuff, another quick stop at Walmart. Well about 1/2 way to walmart my belly starts gurgling. I just figured I was processing.....Went to "Kate's house" as Rob now calls it and barely made it through the door....UGH! Popped some immodium, then it was like someone ZAPPED every last piece of energy out of my body, It was all I could do to move. So I put down some stuff on the lawn in the back, set up the auto sprinklers and then headed back home. I had to stop twice on my way home to loose my cheerios :( Then I get home, start chatting with hubby online, and he points out that if immodium didn't stop it, I probably had food poisoning. UGH! Guess that's one way to lose some weight....just not the way I'd like. UGH UGH UGH!

I am on an amazing forum of mostly women (and a few men) who are all in the 'weight loss' boat together. Mandy who is the creator of the forum is SUCH an awesome person, and does a weekly video blog. This weeks she did one on "Chocolate Cake". It is an amazing vlog, as there are MANY people out there who think there is only one way to 'Diet/Make a lifestyle change' when there really isn't, what works for one person may or may not work for the next person.
